Hike Alpacaville Hiking Tours
General information about your hike at Alpacaville!
Enjoy a guided tour with one of our alpacas. The hike begins at our barn store, where you become acquainted with your chosen furry friend. Instructions will be explained on how to lead your alpaca.
The hike will encompass approximately a one mile walk through wooded terrain behind Alpacaville. Your tour is weather dependent. A little drizzle is fine, but downpours are not great for the alpaca fiber nor the comfort of hiking. Please make sure to wear adequate clothing and shoes appropriate for a hike. This is not a strenuous hike, however we will be climbing a couple hundred feet in elevation over the course of the hike. There will be plenty of opportunities for scenic photos with the alpacas.
Children under 12 FREE to hike with the group however an additional $10 fee for hikers walking with the group but not with their own alpaca.
Alpacas are considered livestock and there are potential risks. Safety guidelines and handling procedures will be given at the beginning of the hike. Other risks include the hike itself which is determined by your physical condition and health. Terrain may be uneven. As with any agritourism endeavor, you are assuming all liability for accidents or injuries during the hike.
Make sure to visit the gift shop for alpaca products such as hats, gloves, socks, scarves and T-shirts. Also check out the Seaberg Art Gallery in the Barn.
